Sorrel is a freelance journalist, sommelier and beverage designer. Based in Argentina since 2006, she covers travel, food and drinks in Latin America and is the World’s 50 Best Bars academy chair for South America.

A contributor to Decanter, Monocle, Drinks International, Condé Nast Traveller and Traveler, Lonely Planet, Nat Geo Traveller, Fodor's, Good Beer Hunting, TripAdvisor, and Clarín and La Nación in Spanish among others, Sorrel is the author behind ‘Mil’ (Catapulta, 2022), Peruvian chefs Virgilio Martínez and Pía León’s book about their multidisciplinary Andean restaurant, and Mayta (Catapulta, December 2024). She has won various awards for her craft beer stories on Good Beer Hunting.

Her beverage portfolio includes a terroir-driven Cabernet Franc project - Sorol Wines - a slew of ready-to-drink gin and tonics as Dill & Tonic and, new for 2024, a London Dry Style gin, Dill The Gin.
