About Anchoita Cava

Half a block away from sibling establishment Anchoita, this Chacarita-based cava (wine bar) is run with the same passion and vigour as the restaurant. It’s a tiny space that has, fortunately, grown in size to accommodate many more regulars, who come for the 73 by-the-glass options.

The sommelier team is extremely knowledgeable and one of the best in Buenos Aires. Cava cellars 140 Argentine and world vintages, as well as 110 cheeses that are aged in-house and, in 2026 was a finalist in the Star Wine List of the Year International Open competition, for the Best Short List prize.

Local somms, including myself, come here to sample world labels at fair prices – and of course, their cheeky cheese platter.
