In a previous life, 17th-century Casa Moreyra was a glorious hacienda in Lima’s elegant San Isidro neighbourhood; its latest guise is home to the flagship restaurant of Peru’s culinary legends Astrid Gütsche and Gastón Acurio.
Regularly ranking in Latin America’s ‘50 Best Restaurants’ list, at Astrid & Gastón, talented chef Ernesto Castillo Moscoso puts together both à la carte – many dishes are for sharing – and tasting menus, the latter revamped twice a year. Ingredients are sourced from around Peru to create inspired dishes such as chupe fish soup and Peking guinea pig. Dine in one of three spaces including the hacienda’s stunning original terrace or the casual light and bright dining room.
