Alchemist, Copenhagen, won the prestigious Grand Prix category

Alchemist in Copenhagen, Denmark, won the prestigious Grand Prix category – recognizing the best wine list with more than 600 references – when Star Wine List if the Year International Final was celebrated on 19 June. The category was presented by Domaine Laroche.
"Wow, this is quite amazing. I’m really very surprised, I’m almost shaking. Do do this really requires a strong team, and we’re lucky and blessed to attract staff from all over the world. We think very hard before we list anything at all, because being big does not mean that you don’t focus. Thank you so much for recognizing this," says Nina Højgaard Jensen, Wine Director at Alchemist.
Jury member Pascaline Lepeltier:
"As the world of wine continues to expand to new territories and incarnations, and as the iconic bottles are getting rarer and more out of reach, you can only salute the fantastic job done at Alchemist to offer an exceptional program able to gather such a breadth and the depth of references."
Pascaline continues:
"From the up-and-coming to the epitome of classicism, from Champagne to California to Madeira, the wine lover can feel the acute knowledge and the real passion behind everything selection, making this list both deeply focused and highly dynamic. A special mention to the fair pricing. Bravo to the Alchemist team for building in so little time such a high-level program."

How the International Final works
In 2022, Star Wine List once again launched its coveted international awards program, the third annual Star Wine List of the Year awards. In a number of significant wine markets, from London to New York to Sweden and beyond, a prestigious jury has convened to judge the best wine lists in that city or country.
Categories and criteria
Star Wine List judges the wine lists in several categories such as the Best Sparkling Wine List and Best By-the-Glass List. These categories are the same across all of the awards. In addition, local categories may be added.
We have commercial partners for certain categories, such as the Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine. The commercial partners are, however, never involved in the selections of finalists or winners - that is completely up to our independent jury panel.
The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not so simple: Vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
