Rimessa Roscioli, a parallel project of the historic Salumeria Roscioli located a short walk away, is a welcoming and fun place where the main focus clearly is wine. Bottles line the walls, giving the impression that their stay on those shelves will be brief indeed. I love this area of central Rome, bundled between Trastevere and Campo de' Fiori, with the picturesque Ponte Sisto in the middle providing a view of the Tiber Island. While the area is lively and frequented by tourists, Rimessa Roscioli is far from being a tourist trap. The menu is straightforward yet seasonal, offering a creative touch. Prices are right.
The selection of wine available by the glass is quite intriguing, and a half-glass option of select prestigious bottles is also offered. The wine list is balanced and fun. Every label is there for a reason, ensuring a satisfying drinking experience at every price point. There is no shortage of super-special bottles by the way, as Rimessa have those as well.
