Il Convivio, with one Michelin star, can be considered one of the most historical restaurants in the fine-dining scene of the eternal city. Owned by the three Troiani brothers, it comprises four recently renovated rooms. Four different environments, vaulted ceilings, dark parquet and table linens with a modern twist. With ancient paintings on the walls and vintage consoles, the ambience remains essential, classy, and intimate.
Angelo Troiani's menu reflects great attention to raw materials. The ingredients are all organic, and for each one, you'll find credit to the producer on the menu. Do not miss their Amatriciana, a classic of the restaurant since the early 1990s.
The cellar is truly impressive, boasting 40,000 bottles for almost 4,000 labels. And the great thing is that Massimo Troiani can tell you anything about them in great detail. The extensive wine list provided is a comprehensive collection of global oenology. Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, Tuscany, up to lesser-known regions. But for each one, an impressive list of the best producers.
