About Achilli al Parlamento
Gianfranco Achilli opened this restaurant in the 1970s, and it is located right behind the Italian Parliament. This explains the name. At the entrance, the display of wine bottles in the shop and bistro immediately emphasizes the focus of the place: His Majesty, the Wine. The lunch menu here is more informal and approachable, yet equally refined.
Just over twenty seats, with an interior with wood, leather, mirrors and bottles. The kitchen is entrusted to the good Pierluigi Gallo, who joined Achilli after gaining experience in several Michelin-starred kitchens. He showcases his ambition here, evident in his signature dish 'Without spaghetti with clams,' which combines tradition with technique.
The wine offering is huge, with several thousands top-tier labels from all over the world. The selection by the glass is broad and interesting. The great French wines act as a counterpoint to verticals of the best Italian labels.
