With so many excellent wine bars and restaurants across Denmark, we are excited to be celebrating the country’s best wine lists for a sixth time. These are the 48 finalists in the running for Gold Stars at Star Wine List of the Year Denmark, this November.

On 24 November 2025, Star Wine List of the Year will return to Denmark once again, to acknowledge the plethora of outstanding wine lists across the country and, of course, the teams who have created them. Gold Stars will be awarded at a private event at Restaurant Babylon (by invitation only).

For the second year in a row, our judging panel includes Danish Master Sommelier Kathrine Larsen-Robert (now based in London and Head of Wine, Europe at 67 Pall Mall), along with Master of Wine Stephen Wong, Master Sommelier Stefan Neumann, and acclaimed sommelier and writer Pascaline Lepeltier of Chambers, New York.

These jury members have now deliberated on and discussed all wine lists submitted into the competition, whittling them down to a total of 48 finalists across 11 categories. The venues are spread from Blåvand and Henne, on Denmark’s west coast, all the way over to the easterly island of Bornholm, by way of Sønderborg, Aarhus and, of course, Copenhagen. We even have our first ever finalist from the Faroe Islands.

There is set to be a high-profile battle between two previous Star Wine List of the Year winners, in particular: three-Michelin-starred Geranium is up for six awards, while the two-star Alchemist is in the running for five. It will certainly be a lively ceremony in their hometown of Copenhagen, where we will announce our winners.
