On February 12, Star Wine List will come to France to celebrate the best wine lists and the teams behind them for the first time. The finalists from across France are now revealed - and at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris the winners will be announced.

”It feels great to finally be able to come to France and celebrate the great work that is done by all the teams here. And it’s amazing to see that so many top wine lists took the opportunity to enter the competition. Our jury has had a tough job,” says Krister Bengtsson, Star Wine List’s founder and publisher.

Star Wine List of the Year France is included in our 2023-2024 International tour and the winners of the international categories will qualify for the International final in June 2024. The awards will be held at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris in Paris on February 12.

Jury

The jury panel: Pascaline Lepeltier, Ronan Sayburn MS, Heidi Mäkinen MW and Jeremy Cukierman MW.

For the first ever Star Wine List of the Year France, we have gathered a top sommelier jury:

Categories and criteria

Star Wine List judges the wine lists in several categories such as the Best Sparkling Wine List and Best By the Glass List. These categories are the same across all of the awards. In addition, local categories may be added. We have commercial partners for certain categories, such as the Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine. The commercial partners are, however, never involved in the selections of finalists or winners — that is completely up to our independent jury panel.

The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not simple: Vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
