About Le Petit Sommelier
In the heart of the Montparnasse district, the Petit Sommelier (Paris 14th arrondissement) is a place of pleasure managed by the owner Pierre Vila Palleja. This restaurant enjoys one of the most beautiful wine cellars of the capital.
The selection will make you travel through the French heritage but also to foreign wine regions (Piedmont, Douro...). The pricing policy is more than reasonable. For several years, Pierre and his team (Chef Nicolas Bouillier) are organizing monthly wine-growers' dinners.
Editor's note: Pierre Vila Palleja is aslo Star Wine List's ambassador in Paris.

Le Petit Sommelier has become an unmissable restaurant for wine lovers and when you take a look at the wine list, it's easy to understand why. The selection is just excellent and not only for French but also for international wines. A lot of top producers and cuvées of the Rhône, Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne, but the list of Sherries, Madeira, Italian wines, Vins Jaunes, and new world wines are equally impressive. A lot of old vintages and all these treasures are paired with an excellent French cuisine 'canaille', says the jury's Jeremy Cukierman MW about the Special Jury Prize in Star Wine List of the Year France 2024.
