Le Wine Bar by Le Vintage has France's Best Sparkling Wine List
Wondering where to go when in Reims and looking for some great sparkling? The answer is Le Wine Bar by Le Vintage. When Star Wine List went to France to celebrate the best wine lists and the teams behind them for the first time on February 12, the restaurant won the category Best Sparkling Wine List, presented by Nyetimber.
"Thank you very much, it was a great pleasure for us to come here. And thanks for all the work you do for all the restaurants and wine bars that work very hard to get the best wines," said co-owner Nicolas Papavero after winning the Gold Star.
"21 pages of Champagnes are arranged by region firstly for Growers wines the Maisons. A very impressive list which has a lot of older vintages plus a good selection of Coteaux Champenois also," said the jury's Ronan Sayburn MS.
Le Wine Bar have a casual bistro-style menu, but they attract a connoisseur crowd with their inspiring and extensive wine list featuring hard-to-find Grower and Maison champagnes alike, many harking back to the 1980s, and also in large format. Burgundy lovers will find their place here too, scrolling more than a dozen pages of collections from Burgundy’s finest terroirs and producers.
Star Wine List of the Year France is included in our 2023-2024 International tour and Le Wine Bar by Le Vintage will now qualify for the International final in June 2024 where they will face off with the category winners from other countries and continents.

Categories and criteria
Star Wine List judges the wine lists in several categories such as the Best Sparkling Wine List and Best By the Glass List. These categories are the same across all of the awards. In addition, local categories may be added. We have commercial partners for certain categories, such as the Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine. The commercial partners are, however, never involved in the selections of finalists or winners — that is completely up to our independent jury panel.
The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not simple: Vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
