Brace won Best Medium-Sized List in Denmark 2021

Brace in Copenhagen won a Gold Star in the category Best Medium-Sized List when the best wine lists in Denmark were crowned during Star Wine List of the Year Denmark 2021. The category recognizes the best wine list with 200-600 listings.

"The idea is to show the diversity of the wine world, there are plenty of stuff to discover," said Felix Chamorro on stage in Copenhagen when Brace received the award from Krister Bengtsson, Star Wine List's founder and publisher.

"Of course we are happy, even though it’s not for awards we do what we do in the restaurant, the effort we put in. We want to give the best experience and service for our guests. Going forward, we want to implement more smaller producers, also from outside of Europe," said his colleague Nicola Fanetti.

"An excellent medium-sized wine list, very open minded, with great orange wine line up and wines from different countries and continents (Peru, Georgia, Slovenia, Mediterranean counties etc.) We love to see wine lists with character, that take great care to select the wines and can translate their personality. Bravo!" said jury member Paz Levinson, Best Sommelier of Argentina and the Americas.

Fellow jury member Julie Dupouy-Young, three times Best Sommelier of Ireland, said:

"Super list, with great care in the choice of producers, and a really eclectic selection with a great representation of European Mediterranean countries. Also, a dedicated page to orange wines and rosé wines."

The best wine lists in Denmark were crowned during Star Wine List of the Year Denmark 2021 on 13 September, at a live event during the Danish sommelier championship – and online. The prizes were handed out by Krister Bengtsson, Star Wine List's founder and publisher.
