Bar Mamie Wine List
About Bar Mamie
The French owner named his bar as a tribute to his late grandmother (some postcards he sent her as a kid are pinned in the bathroom). You - almost - feel like you’re in a North of France estaminet: vintage design, check patterned napkins in their wooden rings, generous charcuterie and cheese boards, flowered plates… But make no mistake: you are in a key place of hipster. People gather here to have a drink and a few snacks, or to take a full dish with one or two heavier bottles. Meat is well present on the menu (the owner also opened a butcher’s shop).
Wine list on a chalkboard. You can choose your wine “à la verse” amidst a selection of one white wine, one red, one rosé and one skin-contact, which are mainly light wines, easy to drink. You just have to choose the style and the quantity (from a glass to a 6-liter-size). Wines “à la carte” offer a four-references selection for each style, that changes every day - Mamie only buys one case of each wine so she can change the selection regularly. For the connoisseurs, there is also a secret list with more special wines.
