Konstantin Filippou has the best short wine list in Austria 2021
Konstantin Filippou in Vienna won the category Best Short List in the first ever Star Wine List of the Year Austria on 12 May. The category recognizes the best wine list with fewer than 250 listings. Star Wine List of the Year is presented in partnership with Austrian Wine.
”It’s always a bit difficult to find the right balance on a shorter list, but we try to select the wines we like and to find diversity. In the end I think that is what makes a good short list,” said sommelier Stefanie Wiesner.
Jury member Raimonds Tomsons said:
”It’s always difficult to create a short wine list with a strong fingerprint. I think the most important thing is to have a strong philosophy, and Konstantin Filippou really has that.”
Konstantin Filippou is now qualified for the International Star Wine List of the Year on 31 May, that will be held in partnership with Austrian Wine.

Paradoxon, Salzburg
Tian, Vienna
VINEA, Ehrenhausen
