Star Wine List of the Year Switzerland 2021 – all the winners!

The Chedi Andermatt won the prestigious Grand Prix category, presented by Austrian Wine, for best wine list overall in the first ever Star Wine List of the Year Switzerland, presented by Austrian Wine. Here are all the winners.

On 12 April, Star Wine List celebrated the best Swiss wine lists during the first ever Star Wine List of the Year Switzerland. The event was live-streamed and led by Star Wine List’s Project Manager Ida Kymmer together with Arvid Rosengren, jury member and Best Sommelier of the World 2016.

”It has been great to see the wide selections, and also get to understand that Swiss wine lists are so diverse. It has been very interesting to go through all the lists, getting to know the producers and regions. What was also unique to me was this emphasis on both half bottles and larger formats like magnum bottles, with great vintage depth” says jury member Raimonds Tomsons about his and the jury’s work.

Local jury member, Gastro Journal's editor Benny Epstein, says:

”I was impressed by the many lists with depth. At the same time, it's nice to see that we’re in some ways leaving the thing of having too large wine lists, and rather focusing on smaller well-curated wine lists.”
