The third edition of Star Wine List of the Year France will take place in Paris on 9 March 2026. These are the 65 wine bars and restaurants from across the country competing for Gold Stars.

From Paris to Ploemeur, Chablis to Cannes, Biarritz to Beaune, these are the venues shortlisted by the judges in this year’s French wine list competition.

Pascaline Lepeltier, Pierre Vila Palleja and Kathrine Larsen-Robert MS have now convened to assess the submissions in our third awards event in France, and their chosen finalists span the length and breadth of the country – from renowned wine-producing spots in Bordeaux and Vosne-Romanée, to holiday destinations including Nice, Courchevel and Annecy, and not forgetting the capital, Paris.

This year’s Star Wine List of the Year France awards will be presented by Founder Krister Bengtsson alongside new Paris Ambassador Alicia Dorey, at KEDGE Wine School (attendance by invitation only). They will announce Gold Star winners in the competition’s 10 categories. The teams in the nine of those categories classed as ‘international’ will go on to compete in the Star Wine List of the Year Global Final 2026 – the culmination of this season’s world tour, taking place in June 2026.

“We are very excited to see the growth of Star Wine List in France,” says Krister Bengtsson. “We get so much feedback from wine lovers finding top restaurants and bars, and from sommeliers mentioning the guests they get through our guides. Alicia Dorey and I can’t wait to meet all the finalists at KEDGE Wine School, especially for me as a former graduate of KEDGE in Bordeaux!” Bengtsson is a Wine MBA alumnus, class of 2012.

France’s 2026 finalists include many familiar faces from the past two awards, such as Maison Pic (Valence), Le Wine Bar by Le Vintage (Reims), La Table de Yoann Conte (Veyrier du Lac), La Régalade (Clermont-Ferrand) and Paris’ Le Taillevent, Les Résistants – La Table, Géosmine and Dame Restaurant.
