Geranium in Copenhagen, Denmark, was one of the big winners when Star Wine List International Final was celebrated in Stockholm on June 24. The restaurant won two Gold Stars – one of them Best California Wine List, presented by Louis M. Martini.

"Thank you so much, this was definitely not expected," said Geranium's Head Sommelier Andrea Roug Sala after the winner was announced and he received the Gold Star diploma on stage. "There are so many great Californian wine lists around the world, but this really shows the passion for California that our wine director Søren (Ledet, Editor's note) has."

”The list was exceptional overall, but when it came to the best Californian wines, it stood out even more. It offered something truly special compared to other lists, featuring remarkable verticals from top producers and an extensive selection that showcased the depth and quality of Californian winemaking. The thoughtfully curated range highlighted both established classics and innovative new entries,” said the jury’s Salvatore Castano about Geranium's winning list.

Geranium also won a Gold Star in the category Best Long List.
