About Nektar Vinbar
Mild shock reverberated around Oslo when news broke that iconic sales manager and Fine Wine Director Veslemøy Hvidsten had resigned from her job. Was she retiring? Had she bought a winery somewhere on the continent? Was she starting her own import company? In fact, she had found the quaintest little cottage in Oslo and decided to transform it into the wine bar Oslo didn't realise it was missing.
Joining her in this project is sommelier and musician Sindre Solheim, as well as chef and wine enthusiast Ed Shaw. Together they've created a wine bar that always feels welcoming, discerning and quality-driven. It's difficult to decide whether it's the Burgundy selection, wines by the glass, scrumptious menu or excellent music that keeps me coming back. To be honest, it's probably combination of all four.

Nektar Vinbar Wine List
The main focus of the wine list is Burgundy and other classic French wine regions, but you can find gems here from all over the world.
If Veslemøy has a favourite wine that she feels isn't getting enough attention, she'll price it very low indeed, so it can be worth your while to give the wine list a careful review. That said, the entire list is sympathetically priced and filled with carefully sourced wines.
