About Hiatus
This entirely glass-enclosed bar and restaurant offers a stunning panorama of the city and the river – don’t forget your sunglasses on a sunny day! It is located on the 46th floor of Place Ville-Marie, a building in the heart of downtown Montréal. Its modern and minimalist design highlights the best view of the city, while the menu features French-Japanese cuisine, with intricate and well-crafted dishes. An omakase menu is available upon request. The prices are on the higher side, but the service is excellent and the food of high quality.
The two sommeliers truly work in tandem, each bringing their strengths, and the wine list is well-balanced with an airy and pleasant presentation. While the list includes many great classics, there are also some wonderful discoveries to be made. There's plenty of pleasure to be found in the extensive selection of Champagnes.
