About Archive
Tucked into Toronto’s Little Portugal neighbourhood, Archive has been going strong for over a decade now. It’s an admirable program, with a list big enough to wonder where they keep all those bottles in a space so snug.
The by-the-glass glass is large and changes weekly, while the bottle list – modestly adorned in a simple duotang folder – stretches for fifteen pages. Wines hail from all over, with charmingly titled subcategories such as “Germanisch”, “Bordeaux-esq” and “More Orange”. Perhaps no grape is better represented, however, than Gamay, with more than sixty distinct stock keeping units from all over the globe. This is Toronto's wine bar par excellance.

The list is filled with gems and offers one of the most comprehensive Gamay selections in Canada, with many selections available to go as part of their bottle shop.
