Tribeca

After two thorough renovations, Tribeca in suburbian Heeze, just outside of the Dutch city of lights, has manifested itself as one of the best restaurants in The Netherlands. Straight after opening, it was awarded two Michelin stars, a unique accomplishment. Though his calm appearance may not always show it, owner and chef Jan Sobecki is extremely ambitious. At the same time, Jan's warmth and humbleness make him just as easily pick up a paintbrush and paint the restaurant himself or drive you to your hotel or to the train station to catch your train in time.

This balance you find in the restaurant as well. You can choose to sit comfortably at tables in the à la carte restaurant overlooking the garden, or you can dine excitingly and interactively at the open kitchen bar. Jan's philosophy of less is more creates a welcoming and tasty experience in the gastronomic Michelin world where forced complexity sometimes overtakes the function of eating. Many products are sourced locally and often harvested the same day.

Tribeca's ambition is not only reflected in the kitchen and the staff; the wine list is among the best in the country. It is no surprise that the wine list is rather extensive, focusing on French classics. Outside of France, you can find famous names for instance from Italy. Not only a great selection of wines but also (local) beers are part of the list.
