Hélicoptère Wine List
About Hélicoptère
This charming restaurant, started by former staff from the renowned Bouillon Bilk, is located away from the centre of town and has become a local favourite. Its lovely décor (velvet banquettes, exposed bricks, wooden tables, abundant plants) is enhanced by the bright light of this glassed space, situated on a street corner. Here, the cuisine emphasises local products, as its name subtly suggests: “hélicoptère” is the common term for the samaras that fall from maple trees in the fall.
As with the food, there's a strong desire to showcase local products in the beverage selection, whether in the wines or the spirits. While the list used to focus heavily on natural wines (potentially a bit too much) it has since returned to the classics. And there is a secret list, too… Right next to the restaurant is Copilote, a small bar run by the same team – the perfect spot for a drink before dinner.
