Bar del Pla

If you go to the Bar del Pla, first make sure you have a reservation and then prepare to enjoy one of the bars with the most history and energy in Barcelona. Located in the Born district, they offer (non-stop) a complete gastronomic experience: first for its quality product and second because you will feel part of the Barcelonian culture thanks to its atmosphere.

They have been active for twelve years. Its cuisine is traditional Catalan with some creative hints: pork feet with foie gras, mushrooms with wasabi vinaigrette, beef tartare, squid with onions and croquettes are some of its main dishes.

They have some 120 wine references, of which 40% are international. All the wines are personally chosen, and they basically select wines with low intervention and maximum care of the vineyards. The vast majority of the selection is natural and biodynamic, although they also have some conventional wines. They always have twelve wines by the glass and make their own vermouth.

Willy, Sandra, Jessica, Jon and Jordi are some of the sommeliers who work behind the bar, and I can ensure you that you will enjoy a great gastronomic experience and feel the authentic atmosphere of Barcelona. The idea of shared dishes is the best. Booking is compulsory! I love eating by the bar, but some tables are available too.
