About Tantris
Restaurant Tantris is my Alma Mater and the reason I came to Germany. Tantris is basically the Bocuse of Germany, one of the most prestigious restaurants in the country. It has a crazy interior with a timeless 70s’ flare, designed by a Swiss cathedral architect.
About the Tantris Wine List
At Tantris, you will find one of the deepest cellars in Germany, partly because they have great relationships with all the great winemakers and therefore can get things no one else can. When I worked there, I took the direction into a depth of North America, but you will find all the classics on the list, like Selosse, DRC and all that stuff. There’s also an insane grower champagne selection, and thanks to Coravin you can always get amazing wines by the glass. If you sit at Tantris you will see, on any given night, at least five bottles of absolute top quality go out. Also, the vintage depth on the list is crazy.
