Restaurant 1890 is the newest venture from renowned British restaurateur Gordon Ramsay, located inside the iconic Savoy Hotel on London’s Strand, and overlooking the hotel entrance. The restaurant is named after Auguste Escoffier, who became the Savoy's chef in 1890.
Gaining a Michelin star in 2024, the kitchen focuses on an eight-course fine-dining tasting menu blending Escoffier’s legacy with contemporary flair. A shorter four-course tasting menu is available for lunch on Friday and Saturday.
The dining room is intimate, with only 10 tables, and art deco-inspired in warm golden colours. There are four different levels of wine pairings available to accompany the menu or, alternatively, you can dive into the extensive wine list, which has over 40 wines available by the glass.
