About Gallo Wine Bar
One of my favourite wine bars in Kuala Lumpur, serving good value wines and great tapas and sharing platters that pair well with the wines offered in the wine bar. Gallo Wine Bar opened in 2016 and is situated in the Taman Desa area and run by Mandy Chin who is the owner as well as the sommelier.
The wine list is created for Malaysian consumers with the idea of having a balance of old-world and new-world wines, with a main focus on classic regions such as Bordeaux, Tuscany, Piedmont and Rioja, with a small mix of lesser-known regions such as Campania, Sicily, Anjou and Minervois.
The interior is a traditional European style, in a cosy and warm environment with refined sofas and knee-height dining tables. I always enjoy my visits there, and after a hectic work day, this is the place where I go to relax with a good glass of wine.
