About EMP KL
Nestled in Westin Hotel Kuala Lumpur, EMP KL started their operation in August 2022, serving modern and fusion Chinese-style dishes. I usually visit them during lunch hour to enjoy their fabulous dim sum selections, where every dish is suitable for a wine pairing. Not only the dishes are great but also the environment, presenting colourful imperial oriental motifs.
The wine list is curated by the Group Head Sommelier, Dibin Chin, who has a long history in the wine industry in Malaysia. The wine list mainly focuses on classic Old World wines, especially from France, with some detours to other countries such as Spain, Italy, Australia and New Zealand. They also have some bubbles on the list since dim sum and sparkling wine work perfectly in a pairing.
