Finalists announced in Star Wine List of the Year New York 2025

On 5 May, Star Wine List will travel to New York for the third time, to announce the best wine lists in the Big Apple and wider metropolitan area, at Star Wine List of the Year New York 2025. Who’s in the running for Gold Stars?
The Star Wine List of the Year awards celebrate the efforts of the sommelier teams behind the wonderful wine lists of the world. And this season’s tour is about to hit the States, with events in New York and Florida. The jury has now considered all applications for those competitions, and we can announce the venues who will vie for Gold Stars at our event in New York City this May.
Among the 46 wine bars and restaurants shortlisted across nine categories are last year’s Grand Prix winner, the three-Michelin-star Eleven Madison Park, and fellow Gold Star recipients from 2024, Terroir Tribeca, Ardesia Wine Bar and Blue Hill at Stone Barns, in Tarrytown.
Gold Star winners in the international categories will go on to compete in the Star Wine List of the Year International Final, taking place in Vienna this June.
The Star Wine List team and judges look forward to welcoming the finalists for some drinks – and the big reveal. Scroll down to see who’s on the list.

Categories and criteria
Star Wine List judges the wine lists in several categories such as the Best Sparkling Wine List and Best By the Glass List. These categories are the same across all of the awards. In addition, local categories may be added. We have commercial partners for certain categories, such as the Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine. The commercial partners are, however, never involved in the selections of finalists or winners – that is completely up to our independent jury panel.
The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not simple: vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
The winners in the international categories will qualify for our International Final in June 2025, where they will face off with the category winners from other countries and continents.
