Thymari is located in the heart of the island’s main town, and it first opened its doors back in 2008. Over the years, it managed to become one of the best restaurants of Lefkada and a reference point for those who seek great food and a nice selection of wines. Pantelis and Eleni are the owners, and they have different roles to play. Pantelis is the chef (but also loves wine), and Eleni is the maître and sommelier. As a restaurant, Thymari gives a lot of weight to its wine list, which has a wonderful selection of both Greek and foreign wines. They also have a “Bring Your Own Bottle” policy with a minimal corkage fee.

The wine list is focused on Greek wines, covering the vast majority of the most important wine regions and indigenous grape varieties of Greece. Still, it also has a fine selection from important wine regions from the rest of the world.
