About The Wine Library
Opening in 2010, The Wine Library gained institution status almost immediately and has maintained that despite a changing of the guard. Tucked away at the Woollahra end of Oxford Street, this wine bar pleases locals with an expansive wine program and ever-changing menu.
A bright and airy bar area greets the visitor on arrival, oft crowded and convivial. Grab a seat at the window and a glass of wine from one of the 60 on pour, and engage in a bit of good old fashioned people watching.
There is a more spacious and civilized dining room out the back for those looking to partake in the short tasting menu or hand made pasta offering, away from the buzz of the bar.

The Wine Library Wine List
The wine program is serious stuff for a bar of this size. There’s a generous array of Champagnes from well established and well-chosen houses and a roll call of excellent grower-producers. Around 60 wines by the glass, and an option for a blind pour, where if you guess the region and the varietal, it’s on the house.
Burgundy and Jura get some serious love here, and the Gamay collection is cause for celebration. Great vintage variation make the Italians worth exploring, and a smattering of Aussie producers helps to flesh out the list.

- Italian wines
- Australian wines
Wine Tasting at The Wine Library
Wine tastings and wine dinners are held in the dining space at the back of the restaurant, often matched with live music.
