Sweden’s ‘Chef of the Year’ 2024 Michael Andersson has opened his doors on Stureplan in association with Stureplansgruppen, in a venue that previously struggled to find its footing with Taverna Brillo and other tenants.

Andersson and his team have created a modern European grill restaurant, and the menu naturally focuses on prime cuts and high-quality accompaniments. Oysters, caviar, and bleak roe to start? Yes please.

Sperling & Co competes in the same league as Stureplan’s existing high-end and well-frequented spots such as Riche, Astoria, and Sturehof – the atmosphere here is lively and international.

The dining room is run by a seasoned team, and the wine cellar has been stocked with grill-friendly wines – from California, naturally, but the list also offers a broad selection from Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Italy, seasoned with Spain, Austria, and Germany. And being on Stureplan, we are of course also pleased to find entry-level wines at more accessible price points.

If there is one problem associated with the address today, it is simply getting a table!
