  2. Interior of restaurant Astrids, Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 684 284 49

    Address: Färjestadsvägen 8, Bromma

Astrids is a small neighbourhood gem outside Stockholm city – you take the green subway line around 15 minutes from the city centre to get there. The place itself is modest but homely and cosy. The food is bistro-style, with dishes like beef tartar, fish soup and entrecôte (also several dishes to choose from for the kids), well-executed and tasty. The wine list is not the biggest, but impressive for being a small place on the outskirts of Stockholm. A bit over 100 different wines to choose from by the bottle and around ten by the glass. The list is leaning towards France, especially Burgundy...

  3. The bar and tables at Brasserie Elverket restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 661 25 62

    Address: Linnégatan 69, Stockholm

Brasserie Elverket is over 20 years old and located next to the Dramaten theatre, which has a stage by the same name. The brasserie serves lunch and dinner and, once a month, a ton of oysters in the lively bar. Elverket’s wine list has both classics like Bordeaux but also newer producers of natural wines.

  4. Tables and bar at Café Cuvée wine bar in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 640 82 88

    Address: Högbergsgatan 64, Stockholm

Best Short List Sweden, presented by Château Bastor-Lamontagne 2026

Café Cuvée is a French bistro at Södermalm and the menu is dedicated to snacks and smaller dishes that can be shared. And great cheese. The little space is busy with locals and cozy with, yes, a French bistro vibe. Experienced sommelier Tina Trigg is a partner in the restaurant and the wine list is mostly French with plenty of Burgundy at reasonable prices. Other destinations can also be found, like Austria and Germany. Do not miss the wine jukebox, a black board where three bottles are always served by the glass. When one is empty, the next guest can choose any bottle from the wine list to...

  5. Exterior of Combo Vinbaren in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 522 256 52

    Address: Odengatan 52, Stockholm

Best By-the-Glass List Sweden, presented by Château Galoupet 2026

A wine bar in the Vasastan area of Stockholm with a few classic dishes, warm atmosphere, and a very wide range of wines on the wine list. The crew is experienced and knows how to take care of guests. A safe bet for wine lovers of all stripes!

  6. Tables and wine bottles inside E & G restaurant and wine bar, Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46840801885

    Address: Birger Jarlsgatan 112, Stockholm

Best German Wine List Sweden, presented by Wines of Germany 2026

Wine bar and restaurant E & G (short for Egon and Gösen) is located at Birger Jarlsgatan in Stockholm, a few minute’s walk from the crowded neighbourhoods around Odengatan. The place is relaxed, like a living room away from home. The food is rustic and tasty and made for sharing – snacks, smaller dishes and stews. Small, intimate and cosy and with an interior where wine is, literally, all around you.

  7. Dining room at Farang restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 673 74 00

    Address: Tulegatan 7, Stockholm

Best German Wine List Sweden, presented by Wines of Germany 2026

Farang takes guests on a journey to Southeast Asian cuisines. The restaurant is located in an old factory hall and the rustic backdrop contrasts with the warm atmosphere. The restaurant is decidedly high end, with great food. The bar in the front is cool and serves simpler dishes. For a fine-dining lunch experience, this is one of my main choices in Stockholm.

  8. Bar at Folii wine bar in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Address: Erstagatan 21, Stockholm

Best By-the-Glass List Sweden, presented by Château Galoupet 2026

Experienced sommeliers Béatrice Becher and Jonas Sandberg opened the Stockholm wine bar they wanted to visit themselves in this eastern Södermalm part of town. The name plays on the French word for madness, “folie”. As you'll see on the interior, it’s loosely related to Territoriet in Oslo. Folii is one of the best wine bars in town and they have won our wine list competition in the By-the-Glass category several times. There are tasty small dishes on the menu and, if you are eager for a more full meal, drop in to their restaurant next door: Voisine.

  9. City views from Freyja restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 08-527 756 10

    Address: Hornsgatan 18, Stockholm

Freyja is the latest hot address from the Stureplansgruppen restaurant group, which is behind plenty of popular addresses in the capital. For Freyja, they have engaged top sommelier Ellen Frantzén to build the starting wine list along with top chef names. Add a spectacular location on top of a Södermalm building near Slussen with amazing views, and a several hundred square metre terrace with bars, and you have a place that is sure to attract a buzzing crowd. The wine list and cuisine impressed us right from the start – see you on the terrace!

  10. Wine bottles at Grus Grus wine bar in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 610 66 00

    Address: Karlbergsvägen 14, Stockholm

Best By-the-Glass List Sweden, presented by Château Galoupet 2026

Grus Grus is the wine bar opened by Tranan just next door on Odenplan in Stockholm's Vasastan neighbourhood. Snacks, small dishes and larger dishes to share are served in the cosy space. The Grus Grus wine list offers mostly wines from small-scale producers, often with an organic and natural focus. But be sure to check out the shelves in the wine fridge, where unlisted treasures from the Tranan “secret” wine cellar can be found at very attractive prices.

  11. Dining room at Hillenberg restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 519 421 53

    Address: Humlegårdsgatan 14, Stockholm

Niklas Ekstedt’s Hillenberg mixes Scandinavian and southern European influences in a large but cosy setting, close to Stureplan in central Stockholm.

  12. Dining room at Kasten restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 15 01 15

    Address: Fredrikshovsgatan 4, Stockholm

Kasten is the latest addition to the Jim & Jacob group of restaurants, and guests that used to visit Eriks Bakficka at this Östermalm address will feel at home. To the right you’ll find the bistro, serving lunch and dinner and as with the other venues in the group, both food and service is of a high standard. To the left is the wine bar Vinstocken with a bar and a few tables. The Kasten team has chosen to list more classical wines in the restaurant and somewhat more hip and natural wines in the bar. At one of our first visits, we ran into sommeliers, importers and a visiting wine producer fr...

  13. Staff behind the bar at Kungsholmens vinbar in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Address: Fleminggatan 62B, Stockholm

Kungsholmens Vinbar is a neighbourhood wine bar with a small bar counter and several small tables. It has quickly become a local favourite that fills up with families and older patrons.

  14. Interior of Minh Mat restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 30 32 32

    Address: Odengatan 94, Stockholm

Best Short List Sweden, presented by Château Bastor-Lamontagne 2026

Minh Mat is a cosy Vietnamese restaurant with an outdoor terrace for sunny days. Unusually for Asian cuisines, it also has a wine focus.

  15. Guests drinking wine at Muscadet wine bar in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Address: Sankt Eriksgatan 108, Stockholm

Sommelier Gustav Hökstrand has worked at a number of Stockholm's best wine places and now he's opened his own dream place: a Muscadet bar. We did not know Stockholm needed one, but now we know he's right. His recipe has two ingredients: lots of great Muscadet and other delicious wines at very low mark-ups by the glass. Plus lots of oysters. Throw in a nice hole-in-the-wall location and you have a winner. At least for us. Cheers!

  16. Portal, a restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 30 11 01

    Address: Sankt Eriksplan 1,Stockholm

Best German Wine List Sweden, presented by Wines of Germany 2026

The Swedish Chef of the Year 2012, Klas Lindberg, opened his dream bistro in 2016 and the accolades did not wait. The food is modern Nordic, mixes classics with modern takes and is superb. The wine list is varied and growing - and the service team is professional. This is a solid recommendation if you want to experience Stockholm dining. There is also a separate bar and dining room across the portal(!) from the restaurant.

  17. Restaurang Nisch, a restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 08-94 91 13

    Address: Dalagatan 42, Stockholm

Nisch is a rather discrete restaurant in the popular Vasastan neighbourhood. But enter and you will be treated to a seasonally changing tasting menu that is one of the best values in Stockholm. Ambitious cuisine, at a level just below the michelin stars in town. The wine offering is interesting and varied, you can either go for the pairing or choose among the bottle selection that has a lot of interesting choices such as Serbia, plenty of Spain and a good amount of Jura wines at prices that should attract a lot of wine nerds.

  18. Private dining room at Stadshuskällaren restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 586 218 30

Address: Stockholms Stadshus, Hantverkargatan 1, Stockholm

Stockholm’s beautiful City Hall is the place where the most famous dinner of them all is held every December 10: The Nobel Banquet. If you want to feel like a king or a Nobel laureate, just head to Stadshuskällaren where you can pre-order any Nobel Menu of your choice. Or enjoy an à la carte or fixed-menu dinner. The wine list is classical with mature gems from Bordeaux and Burgundy.

  19. The bright pink dining room and bar of Tegelbacken restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: 08-25 16 55

    Address: Tegelbacken 2, Stockholm

Tegelbacken is a colourful (literally speaking) little gem in the middle of central Stockholm that offers equal parts relaxed cosiness and elegant flair. With a view of the water and the Parliament building, the restaurant is a lovely oasis in the middle of the well-trafficked hubbub outside. The kitchen is led by well-known TV chef Markus Aujalay, and medium-sized dishes inspired by a variety of cuisines are served here. Always with pure, fine-tuned flavours and plenty of finesse. The wine list is not huge but very well curated and with a focus on Europe in general and France in particular,...

  20. Bar at The Winery Hotel (restaurant, wine bar, hotel) in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 14 60 00

    Address: Rosenborgsgatan 20, Solna

Best Italian Wine List Sweden, presented by Frescobaldi 2026

The Winery Hotel is the impressive modern urban winery and hotel that has opened just north of Stockholm. It houses a winery, hotel, bar, restaurant and conference rooms. The wine list has wines from the hotel as well as Italian producer Terreno which shares the same owner, but also everything from natural wines to mature Bordeaux. In the bar a number of wines are available by the glass and in oenomatic machines. These wines rotate often and are not listed.

  21. Tables inside Vina wine bar in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 70 406 66 26

    Address: Sofiagatan 1, Stockholm

Vina is a cosy wine bar on Södermalm in Stockholm that likes to serve wines from small producers who care for the nature. Many of the wines are served by the glass as well as by the bottle and if you’re hungry, the little kitchen produces pintxos, cheese and charcuteries as well as main dishes.

  22. Wines behind the bar at Vinverket wine bar and restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 33 04 00

    Address: Norrtullsgatan 24, Stockholm

Vinverket, located in northern Vasastan in central Stockholm has a homely feeling and is more of a wine bar than a restaurant. Going down the stairs a few steps, and you'll find a wine cooler reaching from floor to ceiling, and a solid kitchen table serving both as bar and workplace. Walk a few more meters and sit down by the small tables, perfect for a tête a tête. You will be served smaller dishes, influenced by the Mediterranean cuisine.

  23. Dining room of Voisine restaurant and wine bar in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Phone: +46 8 777 38 60

    Address: Erstagatan 21, Stockholm

The crew from the top and hip wine bar Folii at Södermalm has taken over the neighbouring space (hence the name Voisine, which means “neighbour” in French) and opened a casual French bistro. The food is casual, French and well made. The ambiance in the little space is cosy and friendly.
