About Panu

A wine bar and bistro in downtown Oslo’s St. Olavs Plass area with a set menu (at a nice price) in the basement and à la carte in the bar.

Expect a somewhat lively atmosphere, tasty dishes and wines at the higher end of the price spectrum – both classics and more alternative or offbeat examples from the usual wine producing suspects. A short, but well-curated list.

  • I love the warm atmosphere of this tiny neighbourhood joint, which strikes you as you enter. The food is amazing and served by friendly staff, with owner Maciek (AKA “Magic” to the locals) leading the team. The wine list is not very large, and Maciek is happy to give suggestions if you have a hard time deciding. I have not been disappointed yet by his recommendations. A must if you love food served in an informal atmosphere – and music: a DJ plays at weekends.
