    Address: Uttrågata 3, Voss

Best Long List of the Year Norway 2025

Park Hotel Vossevangen is not a place visited for its convenient access – it is a place worth traveling for. Located in a village in the western part of Norway, at least the road trip from Bergen can be spectacular. At Park Hotel Vossevangen it is possible to attend tastings in the wine cellar or try their restaurant, Elysée, which offers a classic menu.

  3. Bellies, a restaurant in Stavanger, Norway.

    Address: Støperigata 6, Stavanger

Best Medium-Sized List of the Year Norway, presented by Bona Fide Wines 2025

Uncompromising, creative and ambitious are three keywords well suited for describing Bellies. The restaurant lies in a former cannery on the east side of Stavanger. The interior is warm and hospitable and well worth the walk from the centre of town. The menu is entirely plant-based, and the wines are mostly on the natural side. What sets Bellies aside and above other restaurants, however, is the execution. Every dish is intense, complex and exceedingly well balanced, and the wine pairings are some of the best I've had the opportunity to taste in Norway. Regardless of how much of a meat lover...

Best Short List of the Year Norway, presented by Vinify 2025

Serving delicious meze and carefully selected wines from their one-of-a-kind list of wines from countries fighting the Ottoman Empire back in the 15th century. You don’t see that focus often, assumingly? This means wine from Middle Eastern countries such as Lebanon and Syria, in addition to leading names from countries such as Greece, Hungary, Georgia, Italy and more. A good selection of wines by the glass as well. A great hangout for a group of friends, sharing tasty dishes and hearty wines. Located in the vibey area of Grünerløkka.

  5. Speilsalen at Britannia Hotel, a restaurant in Trondheim, Norway.

    Phone: +47 73 800 805

    Address: Dronningens gate 5, Trondheim

Sparkling Wine List of the Year Norway, presented by Nyetimber 2025

Speilsalen received its first Michelin star after being open for only ten months. Situated in the Britannia Hotel, this restaurant boasts all the historical splendour of its location and really brings your thoughts towards the grand dining rooms in central Europe, with gilded ceilings, chandeliers and a deeply committed team of young professionals. The menu concept is simple, as there is only one option – the ‘full experience’ – and with a service team striving for perfection, you can expect a well-rehearsed gastronomic ballet. All the dishes are meticulously prepared and packed with flavour...

  6. Vinland, a restaurant in Oslo, Norway.

    Phone: 48 84 28 05

Address: Henrik Ibsens gate 48, Oslo

By the Glass List of the Year Norway, presented by Riedel 2025

A world-class and widely-awarded wine list – and as deep as they get – can be found at this modern yet retro, vibey Nordic brasserie. Paris meets New York meets casually elegant Scandinavia, it’s suitable for date nights, wine-geek nights and smaller functions too. Your langoustine or côte de bouef will be in great wine company, that is for sure. Skewed towards the higher end, this roughly 170-page wine list covers traditional areas both widely and deeply, including the US West Coast. With the restaurant located in the former US Embassy, and California’s wines already well established among...

  9. The dining room at Nordic-Asian fusian restaurant Happolati in Oslo, Norway.

    Phone: +47 479 78 087

Address: Sankt Olavs Plass 2, 0165, Oslo

Austrian Wine List of the Year Norway, presented by Austrian Wine 2025

When entering this restaurant in central Oslo, you immediately think that it has to be something Asian, but the interiors also give promises of something Scandinavian. Both are true: the menus – both the set and à la carte versions – offer a combination of local produce in an all-Asian setting, where ideas and ingredients from many different food cultures are mixed in a bold, but still very successful way. A meal at Happolati never leaves you bored. Even though the name could sound Asian-inspired, like the food, it’s not. It’s taken from the famous novel Sult (meaning “hunger”) written by K...

  10. Vino Bar Ålesund, a wine bar in Ålesund, Norway.

    Phone: +47 958 99 999

    Address: Apotekergata 10, Ålesund

Italian Wine List of the Year Norway 2025

Just across the street from Apotekergata No. 5, in the heart of Ålesund, you’ll find a gem of a wine bar. Vino Bar is run by local sommelier Øyvind Tveit, and chef and sommelier Jeanette Bohinen. It’s an intimate and cosy atmosphere with a lot of wine paraphernalia, and Øyvind’s broad collection of legendary (empty) bottles lining the top shelf by the ceiling. Indeed, there are a lot of amazing wine memories in that line up. At the back, there is a large room showing off a small part of the bar’s wines, and this is where Øyvind and Jeanette regularly conduct wine tastings. And then the win...

  11. Territoriet, a wine bar in Oslo, Norway.

    Address: Markveien 58, Oslo

    Special Jury Prize Norway 2025

Established in 2014, Territoriet on Grünerløkka is already firmly established as a mainstay on the Oslo wine scene. Pre-2014, Oslo was rather dry concerning wine bars – not anymore, however, and we can thank Territoriet a lot for their trail-blazing work. The bar is not very much larger than “a hole in the wall”, intimate for sure, and may get busy and crowded late at night during weekends and later in the week. Their by-the-glass programme is massive – the widest selection in town. The interiors are raw and contemporary, with wines leaning towards more classical regions and styles although,...
