Brunswick House Wine List
About Brunswick House
Brunswick House is a grand Grade II listed Georgian mansion, the one remainer of a bygone era on a now busy main road, stranded between Vauxhall tube and railway station and the River Thames, surrounded by new developments and office blocks. Owned by architectural antiques company Lasso, the whole faded but decadent building is now a restaurant, bar and event space, operated by chef Jackson Boxer.
It's part café, part cocktail bar, part restaurant and terrace with a warren of private rooms and underground vaults for daily use or private hire. The menu, however, is firmly focused in the 21st century: seasonal, and modern European with a set lunch and an à la carte offer.
The wine list is impressive - long, varied and deep from all corners, but with a clear love of the old world. There truly is something for everyone here - lots by the glass, special focuses on favourite producers, classics rubbing alongside ‘glou glou’, natural and skin contact; then there’s wine on tap and a fantastic selection of rarer bottles with cellar age. To top it off, prices are very fair. It’s a veritable playground of a wine list, reading in the same way as you might rummage around one of the great wine shops in France or Italy that has treats at every turn. Find some friends and get stuck in.
