Star Wine List of the Year goes to France, Dubai and beyond
The Star Wine List of the Year International Final was held in Stockholm on 19 June. The next tour starts in South Africa and Norway in September, and will go to several new markets.

We can't wait to celebrate with the great sommelier and restaurant teams in France, Ireland, the Baltics and beyond over the coming year,” says Krister Bengtsson, Star Wine List’s founder and publisher.
The tour will include several new countries/cities, including the Baltics, France, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates. Here are all the upcoming events and preliminary dates:
2023:
• 16 Sep, South Africa with SASA, in Stellenbosch
• 24 Sep, Norway, with the Norwegian sommelier day, in Oslo
• New! 9 Oct, Ireland, with Sommit in Waterford
• 23 oct, Denmark, in Copenhagen
• New! 19 Nov, Baltics, in Tallinn with the food and wine festival and in cooperation with the Baltic sommelier associations
2024:
• New! 29 Jan, UAE in Dubai
• New! 12 Feb, France at Vinexpo Paris
• 25 March, New York, at Vinexpo America
• 4 March, UK, in London, with The Buyer
• 8 April, Sweden
• 15 April, Finland
• New! 25 May, DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) at Vievinum in Vienna
• New! 6 May - International open - for venues in other countries who wish to enter
• 28 May, Asia, at Vinexpo in Hong Kong
• 24 June, International final, prel in Stockholm

New and changed categories
For the upcoming tour, we have made some changes when it comes to categories. Here are the new list of international categories:
• Best Long List (more than 600 references)
• Best Medium-Sized List (200-600 references)
• Best Short List (less than 200 references)
• Best Newcomer List
• Best By the Glass List
• Best Sparkling Wine List
• Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine
• Best California Wine List
• Sustainable Wine List
• Grand Prix (the best wine list overall – will be chosen from the winners of Long, Medium and Short wine list categories)
The Special Jury Prize may be used for some events when the jury wishes so, but it will not be used in all awards.
Our international jury panel will continue to field some of the most respected sommeliers of the world such as Arvid Rosengren, Pascaline Lepeltier and Rajat Parr - more on that later.
