Vinoteca Hermanos’ García de la Navarra is located right behind the impressive Palacio de Cibeles (the current Madrid City Hall). It is a project led by two brothers: Pedro (Head Chef) and Luis García de la Navarra (Head Sommelier). The establishment operates as a restaurant and wine bar, where fresh market cuisine coexists on equal terms with the worship of wine.
Luis is a professional of recognised prestige in Madrid and a role model of honesty, humility, and humanity for sommeliers, with an extensive career in the sector. He was even President of the Madrid Sommelier Association.
His approach is characterised by a friendly wine service. He seeks a direct connection with a loyal clientele, offering high-quality service without pretension, based on honesty and an approachable demeanor.
The wine cellar is one of the restaurant’s cornerstones, with more than 700 references available. This vast selection is designed perfectly to complement the restaurant’s traditional and seasonal cuisine. Noteworthy are their verticals of prestigious producers from Rioja and Ribera del Duero in magnum format.
The restaurant also features one of the best bars (barra) in Madrid for casual tapas, reinforcing the union between good food and good wine.
