About The Library
The Library is situated just next to the iconic sight of Puerta de Alcalá. It offers three different concepts: a boutique shop and wine bar, a fine dining restaurant (exclusively serving a tasting menu) and a private membership club.
From the moment you walk in, you feel the majesty of the place with its high ceilings, elegant pictures, Roman statues and two grand pillars welcoming you in the middle of the room.
On the ground floor, you are at the heart of the place with a couple of gastronomic corners dedicated to Iberan ham and cheese.
The sommelier team is led by Steven Millán Giraldo, who has put together a very international wine list, mainly focused on well-recognised wineries and names, with nearly 80 different wines by the glass to choose from.
Going downstairs, you'll find the basemen and the private club exclusively for members, who can enjoy a quiet space in which to enjoy their own wines. Yet this is more than a club, as they also use it for exclusive events like wine tastings and winemakers' masterclasses. An interesting note: the sommelier team can deliver your own bottle of wine to any other restaurant within the group.
The Library is the latest project opened by the Paraguas Group, which is one of the strongest hospitality companies in Spain, founded in 2004 by Sandro Silva and Marta Seco, with presence in London, Dubai and Monte Carlo.
Don't be surprised if you need to queue for a few minutes before getting in.
