About Ristorante Torcolo
Not far from the ancient Roman Arena, Ristorante Torcolo da Barca has been serving traditional Veronese cuisine since the 1930s. Today it is managed by the Barca family, restaurateurs in Verona for generations, who have recently renovated the interior, restoring it to something approaching its former glory.
In the winter months, you’ll encounter the trademark trolley of boiled and roasted meats, accompanied by the famous local pearà sauce, while the award-winning cellar contains around 8,000 bottles, including a wide range of prestigious Italian labels such as Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Masseto and Solaia, as well as a selection of French wines that include Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Petrus and Romanée-Conti.
