There has been so much said and written about this classic place in fair Verona, so what can we add? Just go there. Enjoy. If you’re like us, you won’t want to leave.

But if we must say something more, we might add that it’s a perfect place to sneak in for some cichetti (tapas) and a few glasses of wine in the bar in the afternoon when you’ve had enough of sightseeing and shopping. For lunch and in the evening you will be served classic Veneto cuisine, and it will be perfect. The wine list, well, ask the sommeliers if you can see the wine cellar. It shows the decades of collecting, not only by the current owners which are the historical wine producers of Valpolicella (plenty of top Amarone served by the glass) but also eclectic offerings like old Penfolds Grange from before.

However, the list is not only super classical―the younger somms are searching the world for wines and the natural trend is coming. We will always come back.
