About Café Carducci

Hidden away in Verona’s Veronetta district, from the outside Café Carducci is easy to miss. Yet, with its classic white tablecloths, exposed mosaic tile floor and ornate red brick features, it’s a bar that simply oozes old-world charm. Established in 1928 by Guglielmo Bianconi, it originally served simple wine alongside a few hot dishes. Passing from one generation to the next, it is now in the hands of Pier Stefano, the fourth generation of his family to run the café.

Alongside a menu serving simple local classics, a wide selection of salumi is sourced from the best local producers and cheese coming from across France, Café Carducci offers an informal elegance and a cellar that boasts over 1300 labels. Local red wines, including Amarone della Valpolicella, dominate, but various selections of Pinot Noir are also prominent, especially from South Tyrol. With Champagne imported directly from the Roger-Constant Lemaire Family winery, Café Carducci is a great choice no matter what time of the day!
