Pique-Nique

Situated in a small garden square in a former park cafe lodge in fashionable Bermondsey, Pique-Nique is just round the corner from their sister restaurant Casse-Croute. The menu focuses on rotisserie chicken, traditional bistro starters and sharing specials.

The wine list is small but provides an eclectic choice of affordable bottles, mostly (but not strictly) from Europe and small producers. More off the beaten track bottles can include Ancre Hill's biodynamic Pinot Noir rosé from Wales, a Greek Retsina and a smashable Italian red in one litre format. Pique-Nique is relaxed and fun and while the little wine list is more about drinking than savouring, quality is paramount throughout.
