About Pommes und Wein (Pelican Fly)
Previously known as Pelican Fly, it is now aplty called Pommes und Wein. Düsseldorf native Antonios Askitis is well-known in his hometown. The sommelier, skater and Instagram star with Greek roots took over an old diner called the "Berliner Imbiss" which was a Düsseldorf institution famous for great french fries and maybe the best Currywurst in town.
Delicious fries with homemade sauces and salads are served, and well-selected hip-hop music is pumping through the speakers. Pommes und Wein is located in the busy centre of Düsseldorf but offers a lot of outdoor space.
About the Pommes und Wein (Pelican Fly) Wine List
The fridges are always filled with over 500 labels and the prices are written on the bottles. Just ask the staff and they will find something for you. The wine selection focuses on Burgundy, Mosel, Greece and natural wines from Europe.
