About Prinzinger by Saittavini
Prinzinger is located in Alt-Oberkassel just a hop away from the Rhine river. The beautiful house, with its high ceilings and huge windows, has been a place for fine gastronomy for over a century.
In 2014, Italian restaurateur and sommelier Davide Saitta took over Prinzinger at the young age of 22 – and soon made it his own. The bright dining room offers space for nearly 100 guests and even more in summertime, thanks to the generous terrace. The Italian-rooted kitchen is focused on high quality products, yet has a little international flair to it.
The wine list is just stunning: more than 1,200 references covering the great Italian classics, with depth of both vintages and producers. The selection of French wines is also quite something – Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux lovers will take pleasure in it. Fancy something more local? No problem. There’s a great Riesling selection as well. What’s more, tastings are hosted on a regular basis with exciting producers from around the world.
Davide also runs a wine shop and imports some gorgeous brands from Italy, on his own.
