About Labsal
Labsal is a real asset to the city of Dortmund. It is located in the "Unionsviertel", a neighbourhood which was known for the famous beer breweries back in the day. Now it has turned into a colourful and alternative quarter just a short walk away from the city centre. Labsal is a laid-back, everyday restaurant where everything is homemade, but you can also come just for an aperitif or a glass of wine on the backyard terrace.
The wine list contains a lot of German wines from small producers, together with handpicked European labels. Mostly organic, with a lot of great natural wines. One of the owners has his roots in the area around Stuttgart, which is why the Labsal crew has a special love for Swabian cuisine. The Käsespätzle, a kind of Swabian pasta with a lot of cheese, and the Maultaschen are two signature dishes that you have to try!
