About CYCLE

Mauro Colagreco, the Michelin-starred chef of Le Mirazur on the French Riviera, has brought his culinary genius to Tokyo with the opening of Cycle. Located on the ground floor of a gleaming office tower in Otemachi, the glass-encased space, outfitted with 8-meter ceilings, echoes the panoramic views from Mirazur's interior in Menton, with the blue of Tokyo's sky standing in place of the azure Mediterranean Sea. The restaurant offers a tasting menu that revolves around the cycles of the season, exploring themes of leaves, roots, flowers, and fruits, inspired by the biodynamic calendar.

Under the guidance of Colagreco, the concept is executed with finesse and creativity. While a couple of beloved signatures, such as the beetroot slathered in caviar and cream, make an appearance, most of the dishes are inspired by Mauro's visits to Japan. Highlights include the tiger prawn tartlet with pomelo, under a scatter of canola flowers; perfectly cooked venison, grilled over wood fire and lightly smoked, luxuriously garnished with a concentrated jus and a rose-scented sauce; and a dessert of thyme flower, pine nut, and goat milk.

Cycle's interior embodies its connection with nature, featuring sizeable trees and tables crafted from wood buried by a volcanic eruption over 2,000 years ago. The restaurant's wine list complements this natural theme by showcasing several natural wine producers alongside an impressive selection of grand crus. The extensive collection primarily focuses on French wines and boasts a comprehensive champagne section. However, the list also features offerings from Spain, Italy, and regions such as Eastern Europe, the New World, as well as Japan. For non-alcoholic options, Cycle provides a variety of teas and creative kombuchas.
