Henrik Dahl Jansen is a well-merited sommelier with a lot of experience, both from the restaurant floor and competitions. He started his career as a chef before his wine interest started to grow.
”One of my major qualifications is the combination of food and wine, as well as other beverages, of course,” he says.
He grew up in Kristiansand in the southern parts of Norway, and that is also where he spent most of his career – until early 2019 when he moved to Trondheim to open Britannia Hotel, where he now works as Head Sommelier.
Henrik has also been competing a lot and has, to just mention a few merits, won the Norwegian Sommelier Championships four years and been in the semi-finals in the Nordic Sommelier Championship several times.
