Heidi works full-time as the Portfolio Manager of a Finnish wine importing company Viinitie, where she’s also a partner. In addition to her daily job, Heidi teaches WSET at all levels, judges at various wine-related competitions, does wine consulting, and gives presentations on wine around the world. As the President of the Finnish Sommelier Association and a member of ASI Sommeliers Contests Committee, she is still working closely with many sommeliers and restaurant staff, although retired from the floor mostly to broaden her perspective and learn more about other sides of the wine business.
Before her current job Heidi worked for 12 years in restaurants both in Finland and the UK. She became the Best Sommelier of Finland and 2nd in Chaîne des Rôtisseur’s Jeunes Sommeliers of the World in 2015, and 8th Best Sommelier of the World in 2016. She was selected as one of The Future 50 by WSET and IWSC in 2019.
