When you are looking for an out-of-the-ordinary experience, both food and wine-wise, Zén should be high on your list. The casual and informal treatment by the staff, while at the same time being correct and extremely knowledgable on all aspects of the food, beverages and the pairings, gives this establishment that little extra that you should expect from a three-star Michelin restaurant. The food is very exciting, tasteful and beautiful in a more Asian-inspired way than what might be expected, seeing that the origin of the concept is from Scandinavia. The beverage pairings are, more often than not, quite surprising, but nonetheless beautiful matches with the dishes. Music - loved it, but maybe not to every generation’s liking.

Dividing the dining experience over several floors and different environments is a great way to keep the guests intrigued and for a single diner, it is extra nice as the rooms are decorated differently and have plenty of eye-catching treats. Starting off the meal with a glass of bubbles on the ground floor gives you the opportunity to start with either some of the most famous Champagne houses in the world by the glass, or exciting small producers who make extremely limited amounts of wine.

The wine list is nothing less than a joy and will keep every wine enthusiast busy throughout the entire visit, supplementing with the spirits list at the end of the meal. The list has a great variety of wines both from the old and the new world, and a nice selection of back vintages from some of the cult producers of the world. The offer of some of the most famous and classical wine regions globally is not as extensive as you might expect, even though there is more than enough to choose from. However, browsing the list, you will find so many exciting and mouthwatering wines from every corner of the world that you might have to consider booking your next visit before your first one has even started.
