About Sobretablas
Located in Seville’s El Porvenir neighbourhood, Sobretablas is a culinary landmark near the María Luisa Park and the Plaza de España. The very building where wine and dishes are served has almost a century of history, standing since the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, the restaurant’s wine list backs up a gastronomic experience that’s both traditional and avant-garde.
Run by sommelier Robert Tetas and his partner, chef Camila Ferraro (both former Celler de Can Roca), the restaurant has one of Andalusia’s most meaningful wine lists. Dishes that fuse the classic with bold innovations in culinary techniques and ingredients make pairing a party. With an architectural design that makes the best of the high ceilings and large windows, the atmosphere is cosy and elegant, complemented by a large terrace to enjoy the outdoors. In addition, it has private rooms for intimate celebrations and private tastings.
The wine list is expanded almost every week with ‘treasures' Robert has unearthed, while the food list is revamped every season. A restaurant in constant evolution with a profound respect for the product and the use of innovative techniques, Sobretablas is proud of its impressive collection of more than 450 wines that expands every week, including a unique selection of wines from Generosos Andaluces (Jerez, Montilla-Moriles, Huelva.)
The relaxed culinary experience for lunch and dinner has been acclaimed since its 2018 opening, earning several awards and recognitions, including Best Opening 2018 and Best Chef 2019 in Seville, and Chef Revelation at Madrid Fusión among others.
